We are closing the year 2023 with a Christmas production, one of the most successful romantic comedies, Perfumerie. This charming, comedic love story from 1937 by Miklós László (who, after a career in Hungary has become successful in America) is world famous through its film-, and theatre productions.

A drugstore in central Budapest, in the ’30s, during the Christmas frenzy. But the holiday can’t seem to get completed as the wishes of the store’s employees, just like the scents, are circling all over the place, confusing everybody. They all look for happiness in love’s tangled cobweb: some want excitement while others, serenity. Their love letters take them to distances that could not be closer to them.

The original storyline is rounded by Hungarian theatrical life’s foremost creators: you will watch the Mohácsi Brothers’ variant, directed by János Mohácsi.
