Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries is a sensitive and painful play sprinkled with irony and a razor-sharp humour as well.
Gruesome Playground Injuries tells the story of two youngsters, Doug and Kayleen, which are being linked by destiny since the age of eight by a chain of accidents and masochistic impulses mixed with friendship and love. Emotional games, physical injuries, self-distructive impulses, broken bones, broken dreams, all of them are part of the two young rebels whom have only each other.
Two young actors, Raisa Ané and Alexandru-Andrei Chiran, join forces in this production under Alina Nelega’s careful guidance with the live musical accompaniment by Vizi Imre.
