Dorota Masłowska’s A Couple of Poor, Polish-Speaking Romanians directed by Theodor Cristian Popescu for the Tompa Miklós Company is a Romanian national premiere.

Due to its subject theme, the performance targets mainly the young adult audience, but it can be suggestive for the more mature public as well. The author of the play, Dorota Masłowska, the starlet of contemporary Polish drama is very young herself. The Târgu-Mureş premiere was preceded by performances at the Katona József Theatre in Budapest and at Abrons Art Center, New York.

According to the director, Theodor Cristian Popescu the play is a kind of trip in the universe of hallucinations, in a world that has nothing to do with logic and can therefore be perceived as a mental journey.
