Nora forged her dying father’s signature a few years ago and secretly took out a loan to treat her seriously ill husband, Torvald, in Southern Europe. The debit note is held by Krogstad, the newly appointed subordinate of the newly appointed bank manager husband. The lawyer will be fired by Torvald when the bank is reorganized, so he will blackmail Nora out of revenge by revealing her secret. From that moment, Nóra’s mission is to defend Krogstad and get his job back. The woman is not succeeding, her secret is revealed to her husband. Nor does the miracle she was waiting for happen: that her husband to take on himself the act of his wife in good faith, thus saving their marriage.

A derailed marriage, full of life lies, self-deception and errors. In Ibsen’s drama, self-centeredness struggles with self-sacrifice, flashing our human nature up and down in the midst of privacy conflicts that are already becoming unbearable.
