The Lost Letter returns in contemporary fashion in a surprising stage view, supported by original text phragments, under the title Too Much Chatter. The proposition made by Liviu Rebreanu Company of The National Theatre of Târgu-Mureş aims to rediscuss this culturally significant play in an up-to-date spirit. How long will The Letter be actual? How can it be performed today? What do we know about Caragiale? Who was he actually? If he would return between us what we would tell us? How he would view the contemporary world?
The performance directed by Gavril Cadariu, based on a concept by Alina Nelega, demistifies the great playwright’s personality and brings it among us, closer to us. It’s the only way to keep ourselves alive and authentic.
